I'm not a vegan, and I might never be one--[still, i might be a 80% vegan someday].
Although I really like vegetables and seriously prefer to eat them everyday for health sake, i still love meat. Nothing can beat the original taste of meat, not even firm tofu.

Anyways, like some of my previous post(s), recently I eat veggies everyday. Only a day or two with meat, but the rest of them are pure veggies.

And, like I said, I never good at cooking, not yet. Also, I think i have this particular interest to simple food making--like sandwiches, salads, stir-fry, etc, unlike complicated food like most indonesian food and pastry.
Anyways, I'm going to share this food that I've been eating almost everyday for dinner--or breakfast : the whatever raw salad with whatever sauce of awesomeness.

Ingredients used:
-The veggies
  • Lettuce is a must. This is my staple food in salad
  • Cucumber (Japanese Kyuuri), sliced
  • Bell Pepper, sliced
  • Carrot, sliced
-Proteins:
  • Champignon Mushroom, sliced
  • Tofu, steamed
-Carbs :
  • 1 Slice of Whole-wheat Bread, cut to pieces
-Fat :
  • Olive Oil (lolwut?)
-The Dressings or...the "not-so-special-prototype C-sauce-of-my-own-creation"
[I mention the brand, because to me, every brand has different taste/flavour]:
  • Heinz Tomato Sauce 57 varieties
  • Lea & Perrins Worchestershire Sauce of epic awesomeness
  • Bango Sweet Soy Sauce [Kecap Bango]
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cut of Onion, minced

This ingredients can by anything you want. Especially the veggies and sauce. I just use whatever I have in the fridge. And this version that I post here is what I ate for my dinner few hours ago. So It's not always like this. Sometimes I add tomatoes too, and black olives if I have some [they're expensive here.]
And, why don't I just pick a salad dressings/mayo/tartar sauce/thousand island? Well, correct me if I'm wrong, but those things are dairy products plus they contain eggs. So they cant support the pure vegan experience™

So how do I make it? Well, it's just salad. Most people can make it easily, right? lol. It's nothing special.
Just put whatever vegetables that you want into the plate (don't forget to wash them first), if possible you can arrange them nicely (I do it although in the end I will mix them, so it's basically useless---but...), because arrangement sometimes matters, not only for the visual sake, but also for the flavour.

Here's mine : lettuce > cucumber > carrot > tofu > bread > bell pepper and mushroom > sauce > lettuce again.

After I arrange them, I made the sauce.
Prepare the saucepan, heat the olive oil, put some onions and garlics then pour the tomato sauce after you can smell the awesomeness of the onions. Then I add small amounts of soy sauce and the epic worchestershire sauce. PLUS a little bit of black pepper. I love black pepper.
You can add water too if you wish.

Then pour the mixing onto the salad.

Now what the hell is this :

Fresh and Awesome.
